You’ve bought your timber fencing, installed your new decking and found the perfect position for your garden shed. But what about protecting your timber from the elements?

At AVS we have a wide range of woodcare products, including stains and oils, to help you look after your timber and keep it looking as good as new for years to come.

When is the right time to treat your fencing and decking?

Ideally, if you have just installed a brand new fence, you should leave the timber to ‘weather’ before treating it. Then we recommend you should apply a preservative every 6 – 12 months.

The weather and outdoor temperature is also very important when choosing to apply your woodcare. It’s not recommended to apply woodcare if the timber is wet or if you are expecting rain within the next 48 hours.

Particularly, if you are using a water based timber stain or treatment, this can wash off in patches if applied close to wet weather.

Colour Disclaimer

Colour swatches have been created in a controlled studio environment by photographing softwood painted in 2 coats of woodstain.

Please note that there will be variations in colour interpretation on different VDUs and printing processes may slightly alter colours.

Final colours may also be effected by the timber it is applied to, or if you are over coating previous treatments.
